- I'm an Idaho transplant who's called the Boise area home for nearly 17 years. I've been "single" for four years, and am simultaneously loving and hating single life in Boise after 40! Loving all the wonderful things I do, like hiking, running, backpacking, biking, snowshoeing, wine tasting and hanging out with friends. Loving wonderful times with my family: my 24 year old son (recently moved to Maui), my 22 year old daughter, and the newest addition, my amazing new grandson, Kyler. I'm hating the dating scene, the shortage of active, insightful, interesting men is often disappointing, but hey, that's part of single life after 40! Life after 40 is a series of adventures - some good, some bad, but all real. I share my hopes, fears, disappointments, hurts and joys.
